A good guideline would be to eat "living foods." The natural, living foods are fresh vegetables, fruits, grains, meats and dairy products.
The "dead foods" are those that are highly refined. They not only are expensive, but also in most instances do little to nourish. Many people who find themselves tired, run down and sick are victims of their diets which are made up of dead, junk foods.

Barley

Bread

Corn

Cheese

A dairy product derived from milk that is produced in a wide range of flavors, textures, and forms by coagulation of the milk protein casein.

Dates

Dates - Genesis 3:2
With sugar content close to 80%, dates provide a wide range of essential nutrients, and are a very good source of dietary potassium.

Eggs

Eggs - Job 6:6
Egg yolks and whole eggs store significant amounts of protein and choline, and are widely used in cookery.

Figs

Figs - Numbers 13:23; I Samuel 25:18
A sweet and nutritious dried fruit that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Fruits

The fleshy seed-associated structures of a plant that are sweet or sour, and edible in the raw state.

Herbs

Herbs (Leafy Plants) - Genesis 1:29
Plants with savory or aromatic properties that are used for flavoring and garnishing food, in medicine, or as fragrances.

Honey

Honey - Deuteronomy 8:8
The health benefits of honey are quite impressive, and since it is such a concentrated source of nutrients, it can be added to different meals.

Meats

Meats - Deuteronomy 14
Mainly composed of water, protein, and fat, meat is animal flesh that is eaten as food either raw, or cooked and seasoned in a variety of ways.

Milk

Milk - Isaiah 7:21-22
The liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals, contains many nutrients including protein and lactose.

Nuts

Nuts - Genesis 43:11
Fruit composed of an inedible hard shell and a seed, which is generally edible.

Olive Oil

Olive Oil - Deuteronomy 8:8
A liquid fat obtained from olives with unrivaled health benefits, and the traditional tree crop of the Mediterranean Basin.

Salt

Salt - Leviticus 2:13
One of the essential mineral components of a healthy diet, helping the body to perform vital functions.

Vegetables

Vegetables - Genesis 1:29
Vegetables are parts of plants that are consumed by humans as food as part of a meal.

Wheat

Wheat - Psalm 81:16
A grass widely cultivated for its seed, a cereal grain which is a worldwide staple food.
